Really? Now why do I feel like this is a huge mistake? Oh yeah, because I never thought that anyone would read my blog in the first place, let alone nominate it for an award! I really only started this blog as an outlet to talk about all those smutty books I enjoyed that none of my friends seemed to read. So, I’ve got to give a shout out to Cici (Cici’s Rant) for nominating me. You rock chica! I always thought the whole, “it’s just an honor to be nominated” spiel was such bull crap, but I think I get it now. Thank you all for reading, and I hope you’ll keep coming back for more 🙂

  • I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and therefore hate Ohio.
  • I only read 17 pages of the first Harry Potter book, and I have no intention to read any more than that.
  • I went to undergraduate school in Canada, and graduate school in China.
  • I have an OKCupid account, which is just…sad.
  • This one might be surprising for a lot of you, but I actually do read books other than romance novels!
  • My goal this year was to read 52 books (one book per week). So far I have read 193.
  • I obviously have too much spare time on my hands.

  5. Congratulations! And as for that OkCupid account… I met my hubby through a dating site and we’ve concluded that if we had met in person, we probably would have never dated. But we’ve been happily married for a few years now.

  6. Many thanks for the nomination! I was not born in Ohio but I’ve lived here for more than 20 years. I actually like it 🙂 I liked Harry Potter too, at least before Rowling produced those big doorstop books. Admittedly, however, they are severely anemic in the area of sex and romance. The movie fans seem to have made up for that with their fanfic. Casting Alan Rickman as the on-so-strict Professor Snape does wonders for the sexual imagination… especially given the fact that his wand is MAGIC.

Whoops, meant to say “oh so strict.” It would have been nice if Ralph Fiennes could have been a sexy villain, but sadly he was covered in too many prosthetics to even approach liftoff… Someone really ought to write an adult version of the series with all the romances between the professors at Hogwarts!

  10. Thank God! I thought I was the only one who couldn’t get through the first chapter of Harry Potter! I just can’t read kid lit, sorry, I like my sleaze 🙂
    I did see all the HP movies. That gets me some points, right?
