Make a Suggestion

I have over 700 books on my Kindle, so it can be pretty difficult for me to pick out what I want to read next. Therefore, if there’s a series out there you want me to start, or a book you just loved, be sure to let me know! Chances are I already have it, but simply haven’t started it yet.

  2. Thanks for like my blog post “Long Live the King.” I like your style, especially on your book reviews. The books I read to relax, however, are usually legal thrillers or crime novels. And then I’m up all night.

  3. You should 100% read “On the Island” by Tracey Garvis-Graves. It’s amazing! It is definitely about a romance, but not a “romance” novel in the typical sense (no detailed sex scenes). I promise you will enjoy it though, as I’ve recommended it to so many women and not one has disliked it!

  4. Thanks for liking my post on Liberated Smut. I’d love to send you a pre-release copy of Bionic Soul if you’re open to it. If it isn’t your kind of read (male-male sci-fi) I understand, but I’ve enjoyed your reviews. Organized and well-written, a pleasure to read.

  5. Thanks for your follow, nice of you to drop by. I’m a dedicated historical romance type and a very picky reader as I like high standard writing, and historical accuracy along with my “steamy scenes”. Your interest seems more general, but if you fancy a bit of medieval “knights in shining (or not so shining) armor” for a bit of beach escapism Elizabeth Chadwick provides both detailed yet tasteful “steam” and amazing historical detail that brings it vividly to life.
She has a lot of books to choose from some based on historical characters and some pure fiction. The “steam levels” vary but you’ll always find some, however historical romance can be an acquired taste.

  6. I have been really enjoying reading your wonderful reviews, and I have to say that your witty writing style and unique insights are simply a delight. I have been battling over the idea of sending you a copy of the first book in my monster romance series “Unloched.” Would you care to check out the story of a young widow and the Loch Ness Monster by chance? I know it’s not your usual thing, but I’d be thrilled to send you a copy for an honest (and no doubt hilarious) review.

    • Wow, just read the blurb on Goodreads, and I must say I’m totally intrigued! Scotland? Yes, please! Can’t wait to read it. I do have quite a few books to review right now, so I can’t guarantee when I’ll finally be able to publish a post, but I’ll be sure to let you know when I do. Feel free to send me a mobi or epub version to romance4thebeach at gmail dot com. Basically, whatever will work on my Kindle! Glad to hear you like my review style, and thanks for providing me with a copy!

But, since I can’t bombard you with suggestions, here are three:

Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
Hope you like them and thank you for following my blog 🙂

  8. Okay, I am going to recommend an author who is one of the first romance writers. She wasn’t the first, but I think she may have been the first I really read way back when. Kathleen Woodiwiss wrote quite a few romances and two of my favorites of hers are A Rose in Winter and Shanna. Loved others of hers as well, but to me, these stand out.
Of course, I could recommend quite a few other authors as well, but this is enough for now. ~nan

  11. I have an awesome book recommendation if you are looking for suspense and romance! I just read “The Friend Request” by author Charles Soto and I could not put it down. It is a Facebook love story about two high school sweethearts who reconnect later in life to find that they both now live in two totally different worlds. Chase is a ultra rich business owner dealing with some scandalous family issues and Carly is a struggling single mom desperately trying to care for her disabled son. I absolutely loved the characters and found this to be an entertaining and addictive book! I am sure I will be re-reading it again on the beach!! Hope you check it out

  13. Hi! I’m the author of ascholarreview.com, a book review blog wordpress! I am wondering if you will do a review on mine as a featured writer! I didn’t really know how to contact you elsewhere as you have to be following me on those social media sites in order for me to send you a message (I tried! lol). But I’m doing a section of book reviews by other readers and I love some of your reviews so I thought I’d ask you as well! Jade!

  15. Hi Lauren,
You’d reviewed LOCKED, LOADED and LYING last June, and I appreciated your enthusiasm. (And your fun language! I used a variation of your ‘cheese and monkeys’ phrase in my new novel.) Would love to send you a mobi copy if you can send an address to Sarah@SarahAndre.com
The new romantic suspense is: TALL, DARK and DAMAGED. (First book in the Damaged Heroes series.)
    Thanks, Sarah Andre

  16. Hi Lauren ~hoping you had a fun trip and read lots and lots on the plane. I too got bitten by the BookBub bug, (say that 5 times fast!) and I’m always sneaking a book when I should be doing other things~ like writing. My debut steamy, contemporary is releasing June 24 th and I’d be delighted if you’d read and review it. It’s called The Marriage Ultimatum and it features an alpha tycoon with secrets and a take no nonsense heroine who has secrets of her own. I’d be able to send you the ebook version if you’re interested. Thanks! Charlotte O’Shay

The Maze Effect: Finding Mr. Right
    by Majel Jay

Every woman wants the perfect man… or at the very least, a decent man.
    “Mr. Right”
    How do you find him?
    What does he look like?
Is there a formula to know who he is?
Just ask Kimberly Kay Nezda, a successful young diva with a budding career in a big city. She had it all or so she thought. She had many encounters and was confident she had finally found Mr. Right.
A rich, handsome, suitor, the mark of perfection, but did she let him walk “The Maze?”
Was it the perfect love story or the perfect storm?
The Maze Effect is a steamy, riveting, short story about dating, sex and falling in love. You’ll be captivated as you read Kimberly’s story of an epic life-changing journey into love and finding Mr. Right.

    Excerpt:
“Yes, yes, very sweet and endearing, now please leave, the dog is drinking up all the milk and I gotta go!” I began pushing the door close with him on the other side. Damn, it wouldn’t move. Did he have his damn foot stuck in it or what? That’s a serial killer move!! Shit, what did I get myself into now and where is my damn rape whistle!!
