About My Blog

Let’s face it, sometimes we just want a sexy little romance to read on the beach. You know the kind. They usually make you blush at least once, and you don’t really want to admit to anyone else what you’re reading. But heck, sometimes we need some smut, and I’m not afraid to admit I love it! Check out my reviews of some of the most popular romance novels from the last few years. I’ll let you know what I thought, and if I think it’s worth your precious beach time. Some are stand-alone novels, others are part of a larger series, and the majority will make your toes curl. Don’t agree with one of my reviews? Don’t be afraid to let me know, or offer your own opinion.

  1. Hey! I just wanted to say that after reading three of your book reviews, that I really like the way you write! And also the books seems like those I would definitely read. I write some book reviews myself but only ones who get a film adaptation. But since I love ti read I might consider this and just review every book I read! Continue the good work 🙂

    • I’m so happy to hear that you enjoy my reviews! I always love reading books that have a film adaptation. Everybody says the book is always better than the film, but I’ve personally found that it’s whichever one I encounter first that I enjoy the most.

  2. Such a unique blog idea! It’s coming into Australian summer now and I have LOTS of beach trips planned (and not a lot of swimming planned) so I’ll have to find some good reads on here! 🙂

Also – Thank you for following my blog, Wanderbug! I’ve actually just set up a new emailing list with mail chimp, so that I can send my readers better emails – less frequent, but better (and prettier and more personal) round ups of the best content, the occasional freebies and sneak previews of some travel projects I’m working on. If you’d like to sign up to my new email letter instead, please use this link and fill out the form 🙂 http://eepurl.com/Offvb

    Have a great day!

  5. I like what you’re doing with your blog. I think it’s absolutely awesome and your voice on your reviews is great. I’m looking for a romance novel for my mother. She’s been in to reading since she retired and wants to try out a romance novel. I think your site will give me some insight to finding her the right one. Thanks

    • Happy to be of some use! My mom is looking into romance novels too. I think my mom is more into the historical romances than the contemporary, but she likes the funny ones too. I like to recommend the Neighbor from Hell series. Funny, sexy, but not too much sex. There’s something about my mom reading a book with sex in it that just makes me feel awkward. I still can’t get over the fact she read Fifty Shades of Grey!

    • Hi Maca, thanks for the nomination! Alas, I have too many followers to participate, but to answer some of your questions:
-I’m obviously a romance genre fiend, but I also like historical fiction.
-I think I’ve read Pride and Prejudice the most. Love me some Mr. Darcy! Also Crocodile on the Sandbank
-In case of calamity, I’d just grab my Kindle and thereby have all my books! To actually answer the question though, probably my grandmother’s memoirs and Gone with the Wind.
-I love to play piano and watch TV
-I love my Kindle because I travel a lot for work and can take 100s of books with me.
-I would recommend Playing for Keeps by R.L. Mathewson. It’s funny and sexy.

  8. Hello!
First thanks for following my blog, it’s always nice to find a fellow book lover. Second I love your blog. It combines two of my favorite things: romance novels and the beach. I’ve perused your posts, and it seems that we haven’t read any of the same books, so I look forward to reading your reviews!!!

  10. Thanks for stopping by my blog and connecting. I’m going through a Thomas Hardy phase at the moment, mostly due to the new movie release based on his book Far From the Madding Crowd. I can’t wait to see it.
