Guest Post of Awesomeness

Hello, Romance Novels for the Beach! I’m really excited about my new motorcycle club series called Dirty Eleven with Carina Press, and I love to geek out on story settings. So what better way to celebrate the launch of the first book in the series, Riding Dirty, than with a virtual road trip? Let’s go on a wild ride with Cole and Mia, the sexually adventurous couple from this red-hot romantic suspense story. We’ll visit some of the spots where they have steamy make-out sessions and secret rendezvous.

Riding Dirty is set in Southern California’s Coachella Valley. The series revolves around the Dirty Eleven Motorcycle Club, an outlaw biker gang based in a dusty desert town called Indio.

Our first stop is Lake Cahuilla, which sits on the outskirts of Indio. Cole and Mia meet here for an illicit semipublic hookup. He’s her client, a criminal informant just released from prison and completely off-limits. She’s his psychologist, sexy and smart and irresistible. He’s wearing an ankle monitor; she’s wearing thigh-high stockings. They’re a match made in erotic romance heaven.

Indio is known for date palms, so it’s fitting that Cole and Mia’s next date takes place at a date farm. They get down and dirty in the outdoor gardens afterhours. As you do.

Our next stop is the Salton Sea, the largest body of water in California. This is a fascinating wildlife area and an ecological disaster on the brink of collapse. Cole and Mia don’t have much time for birdwatching or pondering environmental issues. They pass on through and head to Slab City, an off-grid trailer park near the Coachella Canal. Cole spent several formative years of his childhood in this strange, stark wasteland.

slabIt’s not all tumbleweeds and sand dunes in the valley, though. There’s a hidden oasis at the edge of the Santa Rosa Mountains called Desert Hot Springs. Cole and Mia escape to a private resort for an adults-only, clothing-optional getaway. They wash off the road dust and get frisky in the outdoor pool.
